Orange, California (July 23, 2007)—HowAudio.com (HA!), a subscription-based, on-demand music training website/store launched June 1st, ’07, announces the release of its first guitar-oriented, instructional ‘how-to’ DVDs in its “Foundation Series”. These two titles, “Guitar Set-Up and Maintenance Intro” and "How To Relic A Guitar" are both hosted by acclaimed luthier, Steve Soest. Join Soest as he takes you through proper guitar set-up and maintenance basics, and how to transform your ordinary axes to relic-ed masterpieces. Both DVDs are 1-1/2 hours in length. Coinciding with the Relic release, Howaudio.com is giving away two (2) guitars relic-ed by Soest, along with cases from Pro Tec and straps from Rebel Strap Co. Visit www.howaudio.com to register to win by the Sept 17th deadline!

Guitar Set-Up and Maintenance Intro: Join Soest as he takes you through proper techniques of the basic set-up and maintenance of four basic types of guitars including: solid body fixed bridge guitars, solid body floating tremolo bridge guitars, acoustic guitars and bass guitars. Steve demonstrates the proper way to change the strings on your guitar, adjust the neck, assess the nut and adjust the pick-up height and set the intonation and action so that your instrument is setup for optimum playability.

How To Relic A Guitar: Finding an affordable vintage guitar is a near impossibility. Every now and then you hear a story of someone walking into a pawnshop or garage sale and finding that one stellar guitar: the guitar whose battle scars could tell a thousand stories. In this tutorial, Soest walks you through the steps that will transform your guitar from an ordinary axe into a relic-ed masterpiece. Steve will show you how to etch, stain, create dings, bumps, rust, cracks, and even cigarette burns that will result in your guitar catching the "vibe" of a vintage guitar.
